James started his career in South Africa at a small independent studio in Johannesburg. He recorded anything he could get his hands on, which ranged from traditional township music right through to Death Metal.

Feeling that he needed more experience in the international arena, he headed back to London. After working as a freelance assistant for the likes of Metropolis and Eden studios, he secured a job at Pink Floyd's 'Britannia Row Studios'. It was there that he really got into the swing of engineering, making a name for himself working with young bands and on pop records. When the time was right he left to go freelance, recording and mixing a huge variety of records. After few years he moved into the role of producer.

Over the years he has worked with a very large number of artists, including Skindred, Lionel Richie, Manic Street Preachers, Page & Plant, Bjork, Def Leppard and Dave Gahan  just to name a few.

Ever since Ryuichi Sakamoto complimented Minco Eggersman on his soundtrack ‘KAVKASIA’, the international career of this Amsterdam’ based composer is growing fast.

Together with the helps of befriended musicians like Paul van der Feen, Oene van Geel, the Iberi Choir and the Macedonian Radio Symphonic Orchestra, Minco has created his most successful solo album (KAVKASIA) so far. In general Minco likes working with international artists, Wovenhand, Blaudzun and Svante Henryson to name a few. Over the years Minco has created most soundtracks to Jaap van Heusden’s films. Many have played all over the world and some won prices like an Emmy award (DE NIEUWE WERELD) or (3) Gouden Kalveren (IN BLUE).

Early 2018 Minco created soundtracks to the Bosnian film ‘Regained Memory’ and ‘Visite’ bij director Stijn Bouma as well as  to the documentaries ‘Een Vreemde Wereld’ and ‘Een Nieuwe Limburger’. UNIFONY feat. Mathias Eick that was mixed by Phill Brown and mastered by Bob Ludwig is his latest work.
